Cherish the Moment Tag Album

Hi everyone....a very good morning to you all:)

Today I would like to share my mini tag album that we will be making at Hope and Chances Creativity next Sunday June 8th. We still have a few places left so if you would like to make this album and have a fun day crafting you can find all the details HERE
The album is perfect to fit in a handbag and is constructed using just 1 1/2 12x12 sheets of Bazzil card stock and some panels and tags from the Heartfelt Creations Once Upon a Time paper collection....,not forgetting some gorgeous pearls from the Hobby House.

This is the album closed which is held together with a magnet

Here you can see 3 of the pages with some hidden pockets

This type of album is perfect to keep those keepsake photos and you also have some tags for journaling.

If you have never made an album before then this album would be a good way to get you started.

The album consists of 8 decorative pockets, 3 hidden pockets and at least 11 tags for journaling or small photos.
It took me about 2-3 hours to create and I promise you that even if you have never made one before this is good for a beginner and I am sure you will be hooked once you have made this:)

I hope I have inspired you:)

Enjoy the rest of your Friday and I will be back over the weekend to announce the winner of the Blog Candy giveaway which I launched on Monday! It isn't to late to take part either so if you haven't  added a comment on the post just click on the 'Blog Candy' button in the sidebar and you will find it there.

Bye for now x

'It's a Girl' Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well:)

Today is of course Heartfelt Creations Wednesday and although most days I share some Heartfelt inspiration today you can hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations official blog and find lot's more inspiring projects that the very talented design team have created:)...I know I always say this, but they really are an amazing design team:) I have just received all the samples for next Thursdays (5th June) 4 shows ...oh yes! I did say 4:) The projects that Emma Lou has sent are all absolutely stunning and I can't wait to share them all with you:) I still don't have the times for the shows yet, but I promise I will keep you all posted:)x

I have a Criss cross tag card to share today which is one of my favourite style of cards to make:)

This is the tag inside the card.

Instructions:
  • Take 2 cream card blanks measuring 6 3/4" square. (example pictures are white as I didn't take pictures at the time of making this card)
  • Cut the front of both diagonally to create triangles on each.

  • Adhere each card together on top of each other so that each triangle is opposite, which now creates your criss cross at the front.
  •  You now have your main base card that is ready to decorate. You could also make your base card out of co-ordinating card stock.

  •  I have chosen some of the delicate pink and green floral paper panels from the collection and cut it in half. I have then matted each triangle onto some olive green card which measures about 6 1/2" square to give the triangles an 1/8" border.
  • Add a magnet to the inside of the left hand triangle of the card (right hand corner) and the other part of the magnet to the right hand outside of the card (the outer side).
  • Adhere both of matted triangles onto the front triangles of the main card.
  • Open the card up and adhere some lace down each side of the triangles and adhere some of the gingham patterned paper from the paper collection to fit them exactly.
  • Die cut out the decorative circle from the Raindrops on Roses in olive green card. Cut the circle in half and adhere both next to each other on the inside of the card as in picture.
  • Adhere one of the pretty floral 6” panels to the inside centre of the card.
  • Cut out the Gift of Love border and add a length of it across the bottom of the floral panel adhering only at each edge and just along the very bottom to create a pocket so that the tag does not fall out.
  • Cut a length of the pink/lemon decorative border measuring 5 1/2" in length. Adhere this just at the edges to create a band to the centre of the card.
  • Decorate the front of the card using 2 pink bootie die cuts, 2 circle sentiments, a tag from the paper collection, a pink satin bow and finishing off with a medium and large flower from the die set which I cut out in white 100GSM paper and inked with some pink chalk ink.
For the Tag:
  • Cut a piece of olive green card 4 3/4" x 7". Adhere one of the decorative panels to the front.
  • Die cut a decorative circle from the Raindrops on Roses collection in olive green card and add this to the centre of the panel.
  • Stamp and die the “Congratulations” sentiment and add this to the centre of the decorative circle.
  • Add the “A Gift of Love border” (which you cut from the paper collection) to the top of the tag along with a large die cut flower from the die set.
  • On the back of the tag add a length of the lace at the top and a pink satin ribbon loop. Choose a panel from the paper collection and adhere this to the tag. (This will hide the bottom of the ribbon and loop).
  • To finish off add a few pearls, the pearl brad to the centre of the flowers and a little Stickles Glitter.

 The finished tag

I really do love these cards as they are a card and gift all in one and hopefully one of those cards that the recipient will want to treasure forever:)

Don't forget my blog candy giveaway which I launched yesterday....just click on the button in the side panel for all the details:)

Take care and enjoy the rest of your day:) x

Blog Candy Giveaway and some Hobby House Inspiration

Hello fellow bloggers! Still raining where you are?.....on the plus side it is a good excuse for some crafting:)...not that we need any excuse do we? :)

Before I share my card today I would like to launch another 'Blog Candy'....maybe this will cheer you up:)
The winner will receive a Heartfelt Creations stamp of your choice and also some Hobby House goodies:) As always just leave a comment on this post and you will be included in the giveaway which will be chosen by random org:)

So onto my card today...not wanting to rub it in, but I thought this card is perfect for today:

  • The image on this card is an Elizabeth Bell pre coloured topper which you may  have seen on Create and Craft today on the Hobby House show.
  • All of the embellishments that you see are also included in the April Showers kit.
  • The only things not included are the leaf flourishes , Stickles and the Spellbinder Scalloped die that I used to cut out the frame on the main card.

Update on Album Kit and New Website

I thought I should just update you all on the album kit.  Everything is coming together nicely however I forgot that it is half term and my house is rather hectic so the video will not be finished until Monday so unfortunately I will have to delay the launch date until next Friday 6th June. This will hopefully also be the launch of my new Website where you will be able to purchase the kits and also Heartfelt Creations products including a selection of Stamps, dies and paper pads. Of course my new website will not replace my blog....you will still be able to visit me here for lot's of inspiration:)

A very quick post from me today:(
I will of course be back tomorrow (Wednesday) to share my Heartfelt Creations DT card...this will probably be later on in the day though!

Take care everyone and good luck in the blog candy giveaway:)

Something a little shabby

A very good evening everyone! Oh yes! It has been a total washout in my area and I am just hoping that we will actually get to see some sunshine this Bank Holiday.

Now I know you are all probably getting pretty bored with me posting baby cards, but as I made over 30 for my show I haven't got any other creations to show you....only using the new Heartfelt Creations new collection which I can share some sneak peeks soon with you:)

So any way I thought I would share this fairly quick baby boy card where I have just used the papers and the tags from the paper collection, the decorative circle die from the Raindrops on Roses die set, added a bow and finally a flower which I created with the flower dies from the Sweet Lullaby die set.

  • I have used a Tim Holtz distress tool to create a shabby feel around the edges of the card and tag.
  • Matted a piece of blue card stock to the card base which measures 5 3/4" square.
  • Next I cut out a pretty decorative flower panel from the papers and cut this down to 5" square. I e have adhered this to the card with foam pads.
  • I have cut one of the decorative borders and added this along the top of the decorative paper mat.
  • Next I die cut the decorative circle in blue card and adhered this to the top left of the card.
  • I made a shabby bow with some pale blue seam binding and also a pearl string bow. I cut the 2 tags from the papers and added a piece of lace to the bottom of the large one. I have also cut out a little border sentiment which I have added across the bottom of the tag.
  • Next I added the tags before adding the bows.
  • I die cut the small flower from the die collection in white paper (100GSM). I have added a little blue chalk ink to the tips of the flowers.
  • To finish I have added a few pearl brads and some small pearls.
  • Oh and of course a little Stickles glitter.
This is a very quick card and you could use any of the recent Heartfelt Creations paper collections to create a similar card.

I hope you get some good weather this bank holiday and I will be back soon with another creation and the launch of another blog candy!!!!!

Floral Birthday

Evening fellow bloggers.....I hope you are all well:)

Just a quick post today....if that is at all possible from me:)

The card I would like share is a birthday card using the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Lullaby collection.
This collection is so versatile...not only for babies and children!

  • I have adhered a pink mat onto a scalloped card blank and also adhered some pretty blue floral paper from the paper collection at an angle.
  •  I chose one of the panels from the papers and adhered this to the card using some foam pads.
  • The die cut that you can just about see behind the floral oval is the Heartfelt Creations Raindrop on Roses decorative circle.
  • I have used several of the flowers from the Sweet Lullaby die set and die cut them out in some pearl paper in both pale blue and pink.
  • I have used the decorative sentiment from the Sweet Lullaby sentiments stamps and matching die and stamped the 'Happy Birthday' in pink and die cut it out using the Spellbinder small/medium floral oval. I have inked it in some pink chalk ink.
  • I have added a length of lace across the bottom of the flowers.

Just a quick mini tutorial today:(
I am off to have an early night so that I can be up nice and early so that I can make a few samples for the Hobby House show on Tuesday....Jo Channing will be bringing you all some beautiful new products. Sorry I am not sure on the time yet:(

Take care and I will be back soon:)

A Gift of Love

A very happy Wednesday to you all:)

So firstly an update on the Journey album kit.  I have filmed half of the tutorial and plan on finishing this off tomorrow....as you may well have guessed it is quite a long one.
I am estimating that this kit will be available from next Wednesday and as I said in yesterdays post the cost is £15 and payable through paypal.

I understand that albums are not everyone's thing so my next kit will be a criss cross card with a tag.
This kit should be available within the next 2 weeks.

Now onto the card that I would like to share today....it is of course Heartfelt Creations Wednesday:)
This card isn't on the Heartfelt Creations blog this week....due to the fact that I have so much crafting going on  ( I of course have to share myself with the family too) I am able to opt out of doing a full tutorial and loading my card/project up on there blog each week. So you will find that I probably will only post on there a few times a month....sorry:( Having said that please hop on over and take a peek at the gorgeous makes that the rest of the DT have created HERE

A Gift of Love

  • I have of course used the latest collection - Sweet Lullaby:)
  • I matted a soft sage green card onto my card base which measures 7" square and chose some patterned paper measuring 6 1/2" square from the collection and matted this onto it.
  • I die cut out the Spellbinder die Reflective Moment which is one of the new ones. I inked the edges a little with some pink chalk ink and added this to my card with foam pads...I put the left hand side pads slightly more away from the edge as I have a removable decorative tag which I thought would be nice to add the birth time, date and name of the baby and maybe even add a gift card to the back!
  • I chose one of the panels from the paper collection and adhered this to the Spellbinder die.
  • I die cut out the pram and 2 wheels.  Before adhering the pram I have threaded some lace through the pram hood. I adhered the pram just at the edges and adhered it to the card giving it a slight curve. I added the wheels with tiny foam pads.
  • Next I have added a pink band of ribbon and lace across the card and also a pink bow...To allow the tag to slide under the ribbon, don't add any glue/tape here.
  • I have added a pink flower which is in the die collection and placed it in the centre of the bow.
  • I have cut a tag out from the papers and added this to the bottom of the bow.
  • The final element that I have added is the sentiment which I have also cut out from the papers.
  • To finish off the card I have added some pearls and yes! a little Stickles glitter.
When I started this post I decided not to do a full tutorial, but I just can't help myself lol......I hope you have enjoyed my post today:)

I will be back soon take care x

Journey Album Kit and More

Good afternoon to you all:) I am guessing that if you are lucky enough to be at home today then you are most probably out in the garden making the most of this glorious weather....it probably will not last and I am guessing that our up and coming Bank Holiday weekend will probably be a wash out:(

So as I was saying in yesterdays post I am thrilled that you all like the idea of me doing some kits.
Like I said I have a few bit's to sort out before I can actually take orders, but here are a few pictures of the Journey album that I plan to put together as a kit. You will get a written tutorial and also a link to a private You Tube video with me demoing the making up of the album...I am doing this tomorrow with the help of my dear sister who is much more technical minded than me:)

Now, the only difference with the actual kit that you will get is that I will have to re-design the front cover as I am not allowed to sell precut dies....of course if you already have the luggage die or want to make this one and buy the die then that is fine you can of course make this front cover. Also I will not be able to include ready stamped tags etc, but I will of course replace these with some elements from the papers.

So hear are some pictures of my first kit:

Journey Album Kit

This opens open's to reveal even more pockets closing with a hidden magnet:

These are the hidden pockets

This is another little hidden pocket flap

This is it opening on the inside revealing more pockets and tags

This is the outer side

Here is the album standing - showing you all the exciting doors, flaps, belly bars etc

I hope these pictures give you some ideas what you will be able to make..... I think this would be perfect for any of you crafters that have never made one before....It is fun and not to difficult to make as I will give you full instructions:) It took my class about 7 hours to complete!
To keep the cost down the panels/tags/main paper for the pages will vary, but will be from the same collection so that everything will still co-ordinate. You will get everything including the Hobby House pearls, charms and lace, twine, ribbon, the chipboard and rings to make the whole album. You will just need adhesive, tools and the all important stickles:)....well only if you like your bling!
Tomorrow I will show you how the kit will come packed...all labelled for each page etc so easy to construct:)

The cost of the kit is £15 including postage in the UK for other countries please email.

I have lot's of other kits which I will be releasing about once a month and possibly a few smaller ones in between. One being the Raindrops on Roses Criss Cross card, but if you have seen anything on my blog that you would quite like to see in a kit then just email me and I can see what I can do:)

I would love to hear your views on the cost etc so if you have any questions at all just email me at nikki@sepad.co.uk.

Oh and by the way payment will be via Paypal  once I get it sorted and also watch this space....may be a little Amazon shop too:) x

Another thing is I am thinking of doing some classes around the UK maybe using the Holiday Inn or somewhere which is would be suitable...Village Halls etc (May need your help with this) I was thinking I could also include some weekend retreats.....what are your thoughts?
If anyone interested if you email with the location/s that would be accessible to you then I will start some lists and see if I get enough interest. Also if you let me know how far you would be willing to travel.

Ok! That's all from me today... I had better get prepping for Junes show:)
Enjoy the rest of your day:) x

My next Create and Craft show:

Now I can't say much at the moment, but I have it from a very good source that my June show is going to be an extra special show:) I am so excited.....and I really don't mean to tease, but I can't give you much info yet all I can say is I think I had better get prepping as I am going to need lot's more samples and demo's...heehee! Are you getting the gist of it yet?  I promise I will share in a few days when I have confirmation!

I still haven't had chance to take photo's of all of my show projects yet and I really wanted to share my album so I am afraid that it is another card today:(

Sweet Little Baby:

  • This is one of my demo cards, but for my demo I used the stamp and coloured the image where as for this card I have used one of the panels.
  • I have inked the edges of the main card and also the patterned papers.
  • I adhered the blue patterned paper and then matted a slightly smaller blanket patterned piece of card adhering it at an angle using foam pads to add a little dimension to the card.
  • I have cut the image out and again used foam pads and adhered it to the left right hand side of the card.
  • Next I die cut 2 of the bootees out in blue card and threaded some white lace through the tops.
  • I adhered the bootees to the card one flat and one using a foam pad.
  • Using the flower die from the same pram die set I have die cut out a  mixture of sizes in the yellow card and a couple in white card which I have inked using some soft yellow chalk ink.
  • The pretty delicate flourishes that I have used are a sneak peek of Junes die collection.
  • I cut out the sweet little baby sentiment from one of the border ribbons and have added this just above the image.
  • The circular sentiments are from the Sweet Lullaby sentiment stamp set which co-ordinate with the Once Upon a Time die. I have also inked the edges of the ones that I have used with the soft lemon chalk ink.
  • Of course I have finished with some Stickles glitter.....I am not sure when I will be over this addiction or whether I ever will lol,but I just can't resist getting the Stickles out

Project Kits

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend what ever your plans......I have an album class tomorrow where we will be using the Once Upon a Time and Celebrate the Journey collection.
Which brings me to some more news...how would you like to be able to purchase a full tutorial (some of which will be video) and kit? I already have to put the kits together for my classes and am always receiving emails regarding some of you lovely crafters just not being able to make a class so I thought it would be a brilliant way for you all to be able to create some of my bigger projects:)
Prices will differ depending on the project, but I should be able to give you more information in a few days. The first kit which I plan to offer is the album which I am teaching tomorrow and should be available by the end of next week. I will add some pictures on Sunday or for a little sneak peek you could have a look at Sir Stampalot's facebook page where Janice has added a couple of pictures.
If you think you may be interested in the kits if you drop me an email I can get a rough idea on the amount of interest or just let me know here on this post....whichever really :)

Once again I hope you all have a good weekend:)

Classes and a Bundle of Joy Card

Hello everyone:) I hope you are all well on this glorious Thursday morning! It is surprising how the sunshine puts a smile on my face:)

It is days like this that I would love to be out on the garden, unfortunately my back (which I have suffered from since I was a young teenager) has other ideas:(  When I was just a few years younger my body would let me, but now I am finding that it doesn't recover as well so I have to leave my garden in the very capable hands of my dad and hubby....I of course am the supervisor making sure nothing is missed lol. My hubby is one of those gardeners that thinks that running the lawnmower over the grass is all it needs:) so I really need to keep him in check.  My dad on the other hand although in his early 70's takes his time and always does an amazing job! I must take a picture of his vegetable garden that he has been keeping for the last few years in my garden (he only has a small garden)....The vegetables he grows always taste soooo much better than shop grown ones:)

I just love this time of year when everything is beginning to bloom, it isn't too hot and best of all I can take my crafting outside on the decking:).....I am working on my hubby at the moment as I am thinking that I really could do with a summer house so that I can use it in the summer months for my crafting.....do any of you guys have a log cabin or summer house that you use for crafting? It would be nice to hear from you if you do:)...This could help me with my case lol:)
We have a log cabin already which my son uses as a little gym and his own space and hubby is rather reluctant to build another....but in my defence I know I would get a lot of use out of it as I now craft everyday:)
Let me know your thoughts on this:)

So to my card today. I still have lot's of photo's to take of some of the samples that I made for the show.....I can't wait to share my album with you! It was a pretty quick make and I am sure that even if you have not attempted to make one I could maybe inspire you to try one:). Hopefully I will get some photos taken later so that I can share it with you in the next few days!
I am doing a class this weekend with a similar album using the Celebrate the Journey and Once Upon a Time collections....I am very excited as this will be my first album class:)
On the subject of classes....There are still a few places left on my classes at Hope and Chances Creativity in Gravesend on the 8th June. I haven't quite decided on what we will be making but I am thinking maybe a small mini album or a triple wall hanger! It is a 3 hour class which you can either choose the morning or afternoon...it is extremely good value and I know you will have fun:)
For all the details head on over to Christine's Website HERE

Right now I must stop babbling and share my card with you all:

  • This was another quick card to make, using just one of the panels from the Sweet Lullaby paper collection.
  • I have also used the Gateway to the Seasons very delicate and beautiful die...another one of my favourites:)
  • The flowers are from the Sweet Lullaby pram die set.
Ok now I must shoot off now and get my vacuuming done so that I can go and finish prepping for my class on Saturday:)

Take care everyone and I hope you enjoy the rest f your day:) x

Heartfelt Creations - Cascading Flowers

Hello fellow blogging friends!
I am feeling pretty relaxed today after my show yesterday:) Just chilling out and catching up on some boring housework.

I am thrilled that you all loved the show yesterday.....thank you so much for all of your support:)
It was a fun show with Leonie...she really is a brilliant presenter and made me feel so welcome.
After a few minor hiccups....leaving my precious Cosmic Shimmer on my craft desk at home, I am really pleased with how it went and now looking forward to my next one.
I hope to be able give you a date very soon:)

Todays card is of course from the show yesterday....showing you how you can use the pram die to make an umbrella!

After making the card I decided that maybe I should have used the lemon card instead of the pink for the umbrella!  It wasn't until I took the photo and uploaded it onto the computer that this occurred to me, but I still think it looks pretty:)

  •  I started with a 7" square white card blank and inked the edges a little with some pink chalk ink.
  • I cut 2 6" x 1" strips of pink card and made 2 borders using a Martha Stewart punch....this is one of my favourites at the moment:). I also inked the edges.
  • I cut the decorative 6" square panel from the paper collection, adhered the 2 borders at the top and bottom from the back and adhered it t my card.
  • I fussy cut out the little girl and her dog image and adhered her to the card with some foam pads.
  • I die cut out the pram and cut of the hood part. I adhered it to the card just at the edges (not the top) allowing it to curve.
  • I die cut out the handle and added this to the umbrella.
  • Next I die cut a mixture of different size flowers in both pink and white inking the edges again with the pink chalk ink.
  • I die cut out the delicate flourishes in lemon....these will be available in Junes collection (sorry I don't mean to tease)....
  • Next I added the flowers just inside the flowers the umbrella and cascading out of it.
  • I cut out the Birthday sentiment from the Paper collection and added this to the top right hand side of the card.
  • I made a double satin pink bow and added this just underneath the sentiment.
  • Finally I added some pearls (lot's of them), a decorative pearl button to the bow and of course I had to add a little Stickles glitter:).
So that's my card for today...I hope I have inspire you:)

Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of your day x
